WHY KKUMI PROJECT?
Kkumi means ten in Luganda, the language spoken in Wakiso, Uganda, where our work takes place. And it all began with ten boys.
Systemic change can only happen when both genders are empowered, and there is a significant lack of programs for boys.
More than a third of Uganda lives in extreme poverty (on less than $1.90/day), yet hope, vibrancy, and tremendous potential abound.
